Where wild souls find wild homes

Motswiri Hideaway

Motswiri is the Setswana name for Leadwood tree. One of these old giants provides the shade on the veranda, as well as housing for Buffalo weavers, Red headed weavers and Blue waxbills.

The large elevated deck overlooks a natural waterhole that is a regular drinking spot for birds, elephants and other wildlife. During the dry months water is pumped into the drinking trough on the side of the waterhole.

The two spacious bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom with shower and open to the bush. Each bedroom has a King Size Extra Length bed, which can be set up as two single beds as well. Extra 'camper beds' are available.

Central is the large lounge/dining area with a well-equipped kitchen, including a large fridge with freezer and a gas stove with oven.

Guests have the exclusive use of the lodge. Full-time staff is available for housekeeping and any other assistance guests may require.

The lodge is eco-friendly. Hot water and electricity are provided by solar energy and the wooden structure with canvas walls and thatched roof blends in with nature.
